Troo Co is currently seeking amazing, talented, driven people to help us build our core product and spread the word.

We are currently looking to build relationships including but not limited to: contractors, advisors, and board members. At this stage we are particularly seeking Software Engineers, UX Researchers/Designers, and multi-talented operations/support staff.

Here’s what our hiring process looks like:
- Role definition — a preliminary video call to learn about you and your goals and answer your questions about the company.
- Behavioral and cognitive assessment — if we feel our goals are aligned, you’ll be asked to take a brief behavioral and cognitive assessment to further assess your match for the role we’ve defined together.
- Work sample — for some roles, we’ll give you a hypothetical situation and ask how you would handle the situation.
- Structured interview — to further identify if you’re a good fit for the role and the company, we will have a final, structured interview.
We treat all candidates for all roles with the utmost respect, and aim to move through the process as quickly as possible. We highly value all kinds of diversity, and encourage all to reach out. We believe we are stronger together, and we are better when we are more diverse.
As we are currently at pre-seed stage, at this time we are able to offer only equity as compensation. All equity will be subject to vesting with a 1-year cliff, and the remainder vesting monthly over four years.
As we reach our revenue/fundraising milestones (outlined below), we will convert all contractors who are in good standing to full-time, salaried employees. Here are some of the benefits we seek to offer our amazing employees:

Stage 1 (modest revenue goal):
- Market annual salary, depending on role and experience

- Competitive annual salary, depending on role and experience

- $50 daily food delivery allowance
- The Company will cover the cost for the employee to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique
- The Company will cover the cost for the employee to take the CliftonStrengths, 16 Personalities, and Enneagram tests and 1 coaching package for the employee

Stage 3 (dependent on both the financial health of the company and the impact of COVID-19:
- Although all roles will initially be remote, we believe that face-to-face interactions are more effective, rewarding, and fun, so if and when circumstances allow, we will likely transition to working from an office. At this time we hope to offer all full-time employees company-paid housing in Manhattan, close to the office. These will be 1- or 2-bedroom apartments, and will be subject to availability. For those who choose to remain remote, or partially remote, we can have a discussion at the relevant time.
- Entrepreneur Award — As a startup, we highly value entrepreneurship, and understand that not everyone wants to spend their whole life working for someone else. That is why we plan to offer $10k–$20k in seed money investment packages for employees who wish to start their own business. In addition to the cash award, the package will consist of trainings, books, and limited access to an attorney and an accountant. Furthermore, a transition plan can be worked out with the employee in the event that they’d like to scale back their hours in order to devote more time to their business. Available to employee’s who’ve been with the company for over 2 years.
